BLUE :)

Another random one that doesn't go...I recently biked to pick Zack up from school with Xander in the stroller. I started pouring down rain just in time for me to get under the breezeway at the school, and Xander fell asleep at about the same time. When Zack got in the stroller, Xander was all over him. In this pic, Xander was starting to wake up, but he was not happy about it. Zack was so excited yesterday to have moved his clip up to BLUE!!! They can move their clips down for bad behavior and up for good behavior, and blue is the highest level. He's been striving for it for a while. We are so proud of him!! His special treat for his achievement was to play in the sprinkler with his friends and a special sundae dessert.

Tri-ing Again

Okay, so this first picture doesn't have anything to do with mark's triathlon, but it's so cute. Xander was sleeping when Daddy got home, so Daddy went to snuggle with him to try to wake him up. (Please excuse the puddle of drool on the pillow.)

This was the third time Mark has done the Riverwood Sprint Triathlon. It was the very first tri that he did, back in 2007. Here's his first finish!

Xander racing down the hill...

I was watching for Mark, but for whatever reason, I happened to turn around the second he came around the corner. I barely had time to get the camera turned on!

Here's the beginning of the run. Interesting enough, we have a picture of Mark in this same exact spot (give or take about 2 feet) from 2007.

Almost done! (He came in with a group of people around him, so I didn't get a good finish line shot :( )

Mark's cool down was racing Zack down the block...

All good athletes know that they have to stretch when they finish!
Mark's final time was 1 hour, 25 minutes and 29 seconds. His goal was 1:28, so he did really well. He also came in under 27 minutes for his run. I'm so proud of him, and this is just another reason he's my hero!
